That’s right, you’ll soon be able to create your own pig fortress to challenge other players to destroy. Offering players a  sandbox level-building environment they’ll have all the tools and building equipment required to build a devilishly difficult level, from stone or wood, with strategically placed TNT boxes and of course plenty of green pigs to place.

“We have been working on this level builder technology for some time and are very excited to have it make its debut in Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs,” said Tommy Palm, CEO and co-founder of Resolution Games in a statement. “With our upcoming release, players will have the power to show their creativity in ways we could never imagine. We can’t wait to see what the fans come up with!”

The initial release of the level builder this year will only allow for local gameplay, so players can share with friends and family. Resolution Games is planning an online version for 2020, so players can share their creations with the community, with designs competing for most difficult, highest scoring, most creative and more. “For now, we’re eager to get a local version out so fans can start tinkering with the level builder and have endless fun with their creations,” added Palm.

No specific date has been given for the Level Builder update, just ‘this holiday season’ so there shouldn’t be too long to wait. VRFocus will continue its coverage of the videogame and Resolution Games, reporting back with further announcements.
