It’s Time for PlayStation Store’s Spring Sale

There’s a lot to look forward to in 2019 when it comes to virtual reality (VR) videogames for PlayStation VR, with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) recent State of Play broadcast showcasing an exciting range of upcoming titles. But what if you’re after a new VR experience now? Well, today’s a good day to go hunting as PlayStation Store has begun its annual Spring sale.

There look to be the usual selectees making the VR list with the likes of Vertigo Games’ Arizona Sunshine tending to appear in most sales. One of the better zombie shooters available, the title has a rather substantial 64% discount, dropping its price down to £11.59 GBP.

Other older titles in the selection include Carnival Games VR, Dick Wilde, DOOM VFR, Driveclub VR, Eagle Flight, Fruit Ninja, Here They Lie, I Expect You to Die, Archangel, Castlestorm VR Edition, Catch & Release, Red Matter, Transference and Rez Infinite. Some rather awesome titles in that mix depending on what you’re after.

That’s not all then there are the really new VR videogames like the award-winning Astro Bot Rescue Mission, competitive team-based multiplayer Firewall Zero Hourmind-bending puzzle experience A Fisherman’s Talebow shooter Apex Construct and classic wave shooter Space Pirate Trainer.

Astro Bot: Rescue Mission

There are plenty more titles than the ones VRFocus has selected here so its well worth taking a look – especially if you’re new to PlayStation VR. The sale is running until 1st May but be wary that some titles will leave the sale earlier than 1st May and new titles will be added over the course of the sale. Additionally, PlayStation Video has been included in the Spring Sale, so you can grab a bargain movie to watch on the headset.

All those videogames will then help to pass the time while you wait for titles such as Concrete Genie (due out this Fall),  Dreams (no release date), the scary looking Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted or the rather epic looking No Man’s Sky (due out this summer). VRFocus will continue its PlayStation VR coverage, reporting back with the latest hardware and software announcements for the highly popular headset.

Have your say!
