MRTV XR Hardware Showcase: Bringing Together XR Companies, Creators, and Media for an Exclusive Event!
As a passionate XR enthusiast, attending CES in Las Vegas each year has always been both exciting and frustrating. Exciting because it’s the place to catch glimpses of upcoming XR tech—but frustrating due to the enormous expense and time required, just to see a handful of truly interesting booths relevant to our dedicated community. Additionally, XR companies often spend tens of thousands, sometimes even hundreds of thousands of dollars on booths, primarily to attract a select few influential visitors from specialised media like UploadVR and content creators like MRTV etc.
This inefficiency inspired me to create the MRTV XR Hardware Showcase—a cozy, exclusive event designed specifically to connect innovative XR hardware companies directly with leading content creators, specialised XR media and passionate members of the XR enthusiast community. The goal is simple yet powerful: to maximize the quality of interactions, hands-on experiences, and meaningful coverage in a relaxed and focused environment.
The First MRTV XR Hardware Showcase
The inaugural event will take place at the MRTV Europe Headquarters in Dortmund, Germany, on 29th and 30th March. This first event is an invite-only showcase, with confirmed attendance from well-known XR press, creators, and specially invited members of the MRTV community as a thank you for their ongoing support.

Saturday, 29th March:
- 10:00h – 18:00 Day 1 XR Hardware Showcase – Invited XR creators and media get exclusive hands-on experience with the latest devices
- 19:00h – 22:00 Networking and Industry Party
Sunday, 30th March:
- 12:00h – 18:00 Day 2 – Invited industry insiders and XR enthusiast community members go hands-on with the latest devices
Premiering Companies and Products:
- Pimax: Unveiling the Pimax Crystal Super 50ppd, an absolute world premiere. Directly flown in from the factory, no one has yet seen or tested this brand new high-resolution headset. Visitors to the MRTV XR Hardware Showcase will be the very first to experience it!
- Shiftall: Presenting the final production unit of the Meganex Superlight 8K—the world’s first consumer-ready 4K MicroOLED PCVR headset, marking its very first appearance post-CES as it launches to consumers in Europe and the USA this month.
- Play For Dream: Debuting the final production unit of the Play For Dream MR in Europe. This standout standalone headset pairs stunning 4K Micro-OLED panels with the powerful Snapdragon XR2+ Gen2 processor, setting a new benchmark for standalone VR.

Next to products of the exhibiting companies, there will be more XR hardware to test, like the XREAL One, Apple Vision Pro and yet unannounced devices.
A New Way Forward
By bringing together the most exciting XR companies, influential XR content creators, and dedicated XR media, the MRTV XR Hardware Showcase delivers exactly what our passionate community desires—a focused, interactive experience without unnecessary overhead and distractions. Future events may include sections open to the public, but in the meantime, expect extensive content from this exclusive first event coming from attending media outlets, content creators and of course from MRTV!
